Office of Technology Services (OTS) is committed to providing digital products that are accessible. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our digital products.
Accessibility is a Human Right
OTS approaches accessibility as an important and continual part of the development process. It isn’t a line-item that is tacked on at the end of a product’s development process. It has to be implemented along with content development, user experience, wireframe, visual design, and development choices. According to a Centers for Disease Control (CDC) report, 1 in 3 people living in the Louisiana has a disability. This means that an accessibility-first mindset should be the prime factor in developing digital products for Louisiana.
OTS has created the Accessible Web Services website to explain its stance and roles towards inclusive digital products for Louisiana.
